About Us
Developing green products is the definitive solution for Vietnamese handicrafts to honor the nation’s commitments to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the National Green Growth Strategy for 2021-2030, and the Prime Minister’s COP26 pledge to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. As global consumption shifts toward sustainability, promoting eco-friendly products creates a distinct competitive advantage for Vietnam, opening vast market opportunities and high export potential. Within this strategic framework, the Vietnam Handicraft Exporters Association (VIETCRAFT) has launched the initiative "Promoting Green Trade through Digital Transformation," supported by the Swiss Trade Policy and Export Promotion Project (SwissTrade) and funded by the Swiss Government through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The core mission of this project is to expand export markets for green handicraft products—including rattan, bamboo, ceramics, lacquerware, and hand-woven textiles—by integrating advanced digital solutions. To achieve this, the initiative focuses on enhancing the green trade and digital literacy of 100 small and medium enterprises, ensuring at least 35% are women-led, while empowering 30 trade promotion organizations to better support the industry. By assisting 50 pioneering enterprises in green product development and trade promotion, the project has successfully built a superior digital platform that serves as a benchmark for national expansion, sharing valuable lessons to replicate this sustainable model across other sectors.
This website and its integrated trade promotion platform represent the tangible results of our digital journey. By digitizing products and utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) technology, we have created 50 immersive virtual showrooms that provide international buyers with a vivid, lifelike experience of Vietnamese craftsmanship. This platform does more than just showcase products; it integrates sophisticated commercial transaction mechanisms and customer management systems to ensure that the process of sourcing sustainable, high-quality handicrafts from Vietnam is as efficient, transparent, and impactful as possible.
